More resources from the BBC

The BBC Bitesize materials look really great and work really well for whole class/group teaching. If you can project these literacy and numeracy games/exercises then they’re great for formative assessment sessions and for teaching.

Many of these – especially the maths – will really help visual learners, so, by their very nature, these are potentially inclusive resources.


For children who find writing in jotters difficult or who rely on computer technology due to physical or motor impairments these can offer excellent alternative access to the curriculum.

I'm a teacher who changed direction after a spell teaching visually impaired pupils. I became interested in how technology could assist learners overcome or deal with various disabilities. Since 1992 I've been an Education Support Officer, an ICT Training Support Officer, and have been Coordinator of Highland's Assistive Technology Support Service since 1995.
